Bookends by Sheraton

Thursday December 14, 2006

1214rpevans.jpgSheraton recently launched a new lending library and book purchasing program: Bookends by Sheraton. Guests at select Sheraton hotels will be able to borrow or purchase books from the front desk—with an initial book lineup that includes bestselling non-fiction (Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner's Freakonomics, Nora Ephron's I Feel Bad About My Neck), fiction by authors such as Richard Paul Evans and Nathaniel Philbrick and even children's books. To kick the program off, author Richard Paul Evans (pictured) of Finding Noel will be appearing at the Sheraton Boston on Wednesday, December 20. For now, the Bookends by Sheraton program is available at the Sheraton Boston, Sheraton Stamford, Sheraton Centre Toronto, Sheraton Toronto Gateway and Sheraton Waikiki.

Anyone who has traveled frequently for business has either forgotten to bring a book or finished a book mid-trip without additional reading material. This will keep guests from feeling the need to search for a bookstore at potentially inconvenient times. I LOVE this idea!
