Travelers love Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for its sweeping views of the Bahía de Banderas, gorgeous Malecon promenade, and winding streets packed with charming shops and galleries. And, as the Houston Chronicle points out, one of Mexico's finest restaurants is located there as well. Cafe des Artistes is helmed by chef Thierry Blouet, who serves food inspired by his native France as well the flavors of Mexico and Latin America. For example, Kobe beef comes with a pasilla chile sauce and potato and bacon terrine, while a roasted sea bass dish comes with spinach mousse and eggplant marmalade. Complementing the dishes are wine selections from the finest vineyards in the world. The restaurant is set in a 100-year-old home located on a hill above the Malecon, with breathtaking views of the city and surrounding area. Guests at the the Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta might enjoy a meal at this world-class restaurant.
