Transparent Thinking in Shanghai

Monday July 9, 2007

TMSK%20Thumb.jpgWhile posh nightclubs have been integrating artwork into their design motif for some time now, TMSK in Shanghai has taken the concept to the next level. By day, it's a museum of glass, but when the sun goes down, it becomes one of the hippest lounges in this ultra-hip city. Owned by Taiwanese actress Loretta Hui-Shan Yang (who also has a glass boutique in town), TMSK stands for Tou Ming Si Kao, which means "transparent thinking," and it's obvious that plenty of such thinking went into creating this exquisite and memorable nightlife destination in Shanghai. Enjoy a margarita, cosmopolitan, martini, or glass of wine in an elegant frosted glass that elevates the act of imbibing into an art form in and of itself. Guests at Le Royal Méridien Shanghai, itself the epitome of style and elegance, might enjoy a drink in this dazzling Shanghai lounge.
